The structures sector of CREA is able to provide all the information necessary for the analysis of global seismic vulnerability, as well as verification of the structural elements in reinforced concrete characterizing the elevated works, constituting the structure of the existing building or of a new project object of the seismic analysis.
In general, the issue is very relevant both from the point of view of safety and the safeguarding of life, and from the social and economic point of view, due to the nature and technological level of the numerous companies operating in the area. In the case of industrial buildings, the theme of safeguarding life is associated with the theme of safeguarding the displayed value – equipment, finished and semi-finished products stored in warehouses – and, above all, the operational continuity of companies.
CREA is able to carry out the revision, in the context of updating to the current “Technical Regulations for Construction in the Seismic Zone”, of the pre-existing design for the development of a resistant seismic system, which should subsequently be associated with a series of interventions structural reinforcement, localized on the elements affected by resistive deficiencies and/or inadequacies.
The design refers to the definition of the seismic adaptation interventions of the structures inherent to the building, carried out in accordance with the NTC 18 ‘standards, with the assessment of the safety of the structure, as well as with the verification of the ability to withstand the combinations of the seismic actions of the project foreseen. by the aforementioned technical standards for construction.
